Record Compilation Process
NCARB will evaluate your good character, education, examination, registration, and training against the criteria necessary for certification as documented in the Handbook for Interns and Architects. The timeline for this process varies greatly and is highly dependent on the receipt of the required documents to verify this information.
To verify your registration and examination history, NCARB must request an official history report from the registration board where you were initially licensed. The applicant must request an official copy of your transcript(s) to be delivered directly to NCARB. You must also use the electronic Experience Verification Reporting (e-EVR) system to report your past experience to satisfy the training requirement.
Your Record will be evaluated when either of the following actions occurs: we receive your official registration and examination history from the registration board and/or your Record notes completion of the training requirement through your approved submissions in the e-EVR system. These two primary triggers initiate the evaluation process. You can track your progress online through My NCARB Record and the e-EVR. E-mail notifications are sent after we receive and review your transcripts. Formal notifications are always provided upon completion of an evaluation of your Record.
