IDP Guidelines

IDP GuidelinesThe IDP Guidelines is essential reading for interns, supervisors, and mentors participating in the Intern Development Program (IDP). The document includes introductory information, steps to completing the program, reporting procedures, work settings, training requirements, and core competencies interns should understand before becoming licensed.

Important program rules are explained in the guidelines including the reporting requirements and electronic reporting. It also gives resources for supplemental experience in case interns have trouble meeting all of the requirements within their everyday work setting.

Note: Some U.S. registration boards have experience requirements in addition to the IDP for initial licensure. You should contact the board in the jurisdiction where you plan to earn your initial license directly to learn their registration requirements.
