Washington, DC—The National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), a nonprofit organization,
in Washington, DC, has immediate openings for experienced architects to fill a variety of staff positions.
NCARB is a federation of all the architectural registration boards in the United States. NCARB sets the standards
for architectural registration. It also interprets these standards, maintains records, and acts as the central clearinghouse,
and contact point for all interns, architects, and registration boards when dealing with issues concerning
registration and the professional conduct of architects.
Staff members work with leaders in the field to help shape the future of the architectural profession and safeguard
the health, safety, and welfare of the public by developing and recommending standards for architectural registration
and the practice of architecture.

NCARB has immediate openings for the following positions: |
Assistant Director, Architect Registration Examination (Architect)
A registered architect with at least 5 years of professional experience, and a working knowledge of AutoCAD is
sought to assist in the development and scoring processes of the graphic portions of the Architect Registration
Examination® (ARE®). This position requires strong public speaking and written communication skills, as well as
the ability to adapt to change and remain flexible while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Candidates
must have an NAAB-accredited degree and be eligible for NCARB Certification. Up to 25 percent travel out of
the Washington, DC, area, including weekends, is required.

Assistant Director, Finance
Search underway for Assistant Director, Finance for this 80 plus staff, 501(c)(6) professional association. This individual serves as a collaborative member of the senior management team providing proactive and strategic financial advice to the Director of Administration, VP of Operations (former Controller), and Board Treasurer. Develops annual budget, long range planning forecast, and cost study for presentation to the Board of Directors. Provides support on investments and other issues affecting the business operations. Supervises 7-person accounting team, including an assistant controller, two accountants and associates processing A/R, A/P and other cash receipts. Need a Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting and a CPA; 7-10 years experience in a nonprofit environment with experience at the supervisory and managerial level. Solomon experience preferred.
