Year in Review
Take an inside look at NCARB with our FY17 Bylaws, financial results,
and organizational chart.
With updates and improvements to all of our major programs—including the launch of the Architect Registration Examination® (ARE®) 5.0, the first year of the Architectural Experience Program™ (AXP™) Portfolio, and new paths to NCARB certification—in partnership with our Member Boards, we have been hard at work advancing our services to the public and the architecture community. The results of this work can be seen in the documents below, which demonstrate the important decisions made by our Member Boards and their effect on our Bylaws, our solid financial position, and the continued growth of our organization.
NCARB’s organization structure, functions, and processes are governed by our Bylaws. Changes to NCARB Bylaws must be approved by the Member Boards. No changes were proposed this year.
Headquartered in Washington, DC, NCARB has a staff of nearly 100 who work to provide the best possible service to our Member Boards and customers. The staff, consisting of experts in architecture as well as other fields, is divided into seven directorates that provide a wealth of diverse experiences and skill sets to the organization.
We provide our Member Board Members with a yearly summary of the organization’s financial results at the Annual Business Meeting, including the year-end results, next fiscal year’s budget, and organizational fees.
