Jennifer R. Arbuckle, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, of North Ferrisburgh, Vermont, was appointed to the Vermont Board of Architects in 2008 and served on the board until 2018, including time as the board’s chair from 2014-2018. She was elected by her peers to serve as the vice chair of Region 1 in 2017, going on to serve as the region’s chair from 2020-2023. She has been serving on the NCARB Board of Directors as the Region 1 director since 2023.

Arbuckle has dedicated her time and expertise to several NCARB committees, including the Education, Policy Advisory, and Regional Leadership committees. In 2019, she helped found and chaired NCARB’s Diversity Collaborative, a grassroots effort to explore ways that the Council could better support diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout all levels of the organization; the Collaborative transitioned to become a permanent committee in 2022.

Arbuckle is an active member of the greater Burlington, Vermont, area; is a member of the Healthcare Advisory Board and the Center for Health Design; and has a long-standing commitment to her local Ronald McDonald House.

Arbuckle is a partner with E4H Environments for Health Architecture, which she joined in 1996. She earned her license to practice architecture in 1995. Arbuckle holds the NCARB Certificate for national reciprocity and is LEED AP certified. She is a graduate of Syracuse University and is currently licensed in Vermont, New York, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Ohio, and Rhode Island.
