To maintain the security of the ARE, you will be required to read, understand, and accept the ARE Candidate Agreement before you arrange to begin testing. You cannot take the ARE without first accepting this agreement.
The ARE Candidate Agreement includes a series of obligations that candidates must uphold regarding the confidentiality of ARE content. Accepting this agreement means that you will not be allowed to share the details of what you see on the exams with anyone, including family, friends, coworkers, supervisors, other examinees, study groups, test preparation providers, online forums, or social media. In short, copying, recording, or disseminating ARE content in any manner is prohibited.
You will also find information in the agreement on consequences for violating its prohibitions. If you’re found to be in violation of the agreement, you may be subject to severe disciplinary action, including the suspension of testing privileges, invalidation of exam scores, a public reprimand, ethics education, and the inability to earn your NCARB Certificate or to become licensed as an architect.
While you will be required to accept and reaffirm your acceptance of the ARE Candidate Agreement multiple times in order to take the ARE, you are strongly encouraged to familiarize yourself with the agreement before you arrange to begin testing.
Check out the ARE Candidate Agreement and be sure to follow its requirements to avoid any possible misconduct issues.
