NCARB’s Education Alternative provides a pathway for architects who hold a license from a U.S. jurisdiction but have not received a degree from a program accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) to earn an NCARB Certificate.
The Education Alternative path offers two paths for architects to satisfy the education requirement for certification, depending on NCARB’s evaluation of their educational background: documenting twice the requirements of the Architectural Experience Program (Two Times AXP), or submitting an NCARB Certificate Portfolio.
In this webinar, architects and successful Education Alternative applicants Luke Leyden, NCARB, AIA, LEED AP, CHC, and Bill Nutkins, NCARB, AIA, as well as NCARB staff expert Brittney Cosby answer questions about the Education Alternative.
During the webinar, we explore:
- What the Education Alternative is
- Who’s eligible for the Education Alternative
- The requirements for each pathway of the Education Alternative
- Tips for navigating the Two Times AXP and Certificate Portfolio paths
- And more!
