In early June, thousands of architects gathered in Las Vegas for the 2019 American Institute of Architects (AIA) Conference on Architecture (A’19). NCARB was there providing in-person customer service, helping candidates navigate the path to licensure, and explaining the benefits of the NCARB Certificate. Plus, we unveiled our new traveling Centennial Exhibition!
Attendees stopped by our NCARB booth to reflect on next steps in their architecture careers, what they love about architecture, and explore how NCARB’s programs and services can help achieve them.
NCARB staff answered questions and provided updates on recent program changes, including new pathways to NCARB certification and more.
Plus, NCARB’s Architect Registration Examination® (ARE®) experts walked candidates through a demo of the latest version of the exam, ARE 5.0.
Representatives from the Nevada State Board of Architecture, Interior Design and Residential Design were on hand to answer any questions about licensure requirements specific to Nevada.
NCARB CEO Michael Armstrong and other members of NCARB leadership sat down with members of the architectural press and related organizations to discuss the latest news, including the continued growth of the architect population, a preview of the upcoming edition of NCARB by the Numbers, and details on NCARB’s Centennial.
To celebrate our 100th anniversary, NCARB debuted a new Centennial Exhibition, detailing the history of architectural licensure in the United States and exploring how NCARB’s programs and services have evolved over time.
The exhibit will be available for display at local architecture centers across the United States beginning fall of 2019.
Visitors at both booths were able to pick up fun giveaways—including NCARB t-shirts and reusable straws!
