This week, Member Boards will gather to discuss issues facing the profession and the future of licensure at our 98th Annual Business Meeting in Boston. Throughout the three-day conference, delegates will discuss recent changes to our programs, set the tone for NCARB’s upcoming initiatives, and elect new officers.
Why You Should Care About the Annual Business Meeting
At the 2017 Annual Business Meeting, we’ll be reflecting on NCARB’s new and updated programs, celebrating our achievements, and determining our primary goals for the year ahead. Over the next 12 months, members of your state’s licensing board will work with architecture professionals and NCARB staff to address the strategic issues highlighted at this year’s meeting.
At the meeting, board members will have the chance to consider upcoming challenges and opportunities for the profession and focus on implementing program updates that allow for a more cohesive, streamlined path to licensure. These include the updated Architectural Experience Program™ (AXP™), recently launched Architect Registration Examination® (ARE®) 5.0, and alternative paths to licensure and certification like the AXP Portfolio and the education alternative.
Your state board members are at the forefront of the profession, and the decisions they make will affect the future of NCARB, the architectural community, and you. The meeting’s workshops and sessions will provide them with essential resources to guide them as they regulate your jurisdiction’s practice of architecture.
