For its seventh annual program, NCARB will invite a selected group of professional practice educators to participate in invaluable peer learning and expert training. The program focuses on both current and forward-looking trends in academia and practice. During this exclusive training event, 16 faculty members from architecture schools around the country will convene to share best practices, learn from experts in both education and practice, and enhance the delivery of their professional practice courses. See this recap of last year’s event

Through a mix of presentations and interactive sessions, scholars will explore topics related to teaching professional practice. Expert coaches will help you to consider how to create an effective learning community with your students. Past session topics have included:

  • Business development & marketing
  • Financial basics of construction projects
  • Integration of practice topics throughout the curriculum
  • Equity in the classroom and the workplace
  • And more!

Another major highlight of the event each year is the opportunity to share abbreviated versions of attendees’ own lessons for discussion and critique with a small group of peers.

To be eligible to attend, applicants must:
