Amanda Pica is the Assistant Vice President of Marketing & Communications at NCARB. She has been on NCARB’s communications team since late 2005. In her early days, she worked on NCARB's internal staff newsletter and external newsletters like the IDP (now AXP) and ARE Updates. Now, she mostly focuses on larger campaigns, communications for licensing boards, and managing NCARB's website. Amanda grew up in a small town in Wisconsin before attending Penn State University, where she earned a degree in journalism. Halfway through college she realized she was a few courses short of an architectural history minor, so she decided to pursue it as a second minor—good thing she did, because it is was one of the things that stood out on her resume when she interviewed for her first position at NCARB.
